Happy Anniversary!

Wedding_day_2

Now why do you suppose my husband would post to the blog today and not
mention that today is our 10th Anniversary?  Honey, as Ricky Ricardo
would say to Lucy: "you’ve got some splainin’ to do…"

Here we are on our wedding day, April 11, 1998.  Steve and I are pictured with my son, Ross, then 9 and my daughter, Tara, 11 1/2.  We were married in Jamaica where we took a "family-moon"  and stayed at a Beaches Resort in Ocho Rios.  Oh, what memories!

I wish I could say we are there again today, celebrating our 10th, but instead Steve and I are here in cold, windy, wet Iowa City.  Never mind.  We’re just as happy here as anywhere else.  Just wish Ross and Tara were here with us…

Happy Anniversary to my dear husband!

  1. Oh no! 🙂 Go get him, Connie! *smile* Renee actually managed to forget our anniversary this year. 7 years. It’ll take about 2 more months before I quit teasing her about it.

  2. At 10 years we had a party, getting ALMOST all the kids and grandkids together, and having one of our favorite minister preside while we again said our vows. We’re coming up on 19 years this July, and plan to have a blow-out party at 20.
Steve, the dog house is a great place for a little deep contemplation. I’m sure you’ll get some wonderful poems out of it. May I suggest one about smelling like a wet dog?

  3. I always drop big hints before an anniversary – so Pierre doesn’t forget! LOL!
Happy Anniversary to you both – that’s a beautiful family photograph and I love the quote.

  4. How can such a smart guy be so stupid! To the dog house and 50 lashes. We men are such simple creatures it never ceases to amaze me the human species has survived as long as it has.
