Tara, Congratulations!

Photos are of Tara, her brother (Ross, in black), Rick (Tara’s Dad) and Jan, Tara’s grandparents (Bill and Norma), and myself.  I’m sorry to say Steve couldn’t be there for the ceremony.

Needless to say, we’re a proud family.

  3. Wow! I’m eating lunch at my desk (too hot outside!) and decided to check in on Steve’s blog to see what’s up with you. Lo and behold, Tara’s graduation! And pics of all of you. First of all, BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Tara, and her proud family. I can’t believe how she and Ross are all grown up. You look great, Connie, to the extent I can see you in the pix. Everyone looks more mature (LOL). I never change, can’t understand why everyone else does. :-))
    I wish Tara all the best, and a happy summer to get her priorities in place.
    Would love to hear from you both. I barely got a chance to see you, Steve, when you were here.
    I’ve had a fairly harrowing couple of years–a hip replacement that turned into a broken leg–3 times since 2006! I’m fine now but have spent the lion’s share of the past 2 years recuping at home, and working from home. Very happy to report that I’m out and on my feet and doing well.
    Hope you are, too. I think of you often.

  5. I spent two months working in an occupational therapist’s office. It was grist for a book, I swear. I brought away three things from the experience:
    A) I will never again complain when health care provider runs late — you have no idea how much it takes to run a practice
    B) The therapists do amazing things, and are wonderful human beings
    C) I think I’ve become a better patient for the experience.

    Kay, it was indeed a happy day. Georgia, in answer to your question, Tara’s degree is in Exercise Science with a minor in psychology. She settled on that major for the rounded science background it provided, not quite knowing what she might do in grad school. Ideas tossed about: pharmacology, physician’s assistant, chemistry, occupational therapy…needless to say she’s got some serious thinking to do and is planning a year off to do just that.

  14. Um, Connie? Will you change my name up there? lol. That was a joke on my blog when I was in a tizzy about something a few days ago.
    I also meant to add to my previous comment — how proud I am of *you* for your really cool video, linking a photo skills! I’m jealous. You have blown right past me in the technology department. You are now totally hi-tech.
