Carl Perkins & Friends

Carl Perkins,Blue Suede Shoes - A Rockabilly Session,UK,DIGITAL VERSATILE DISC,365326

Alright, I defy you to feel low and rotten while listening to this album, “a Rockabilly Session” featuring Carl Perkins, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Roseanne Cash, Dave Edmunds, and, oh yeah, Eric Clapton. I became aware of this amazing cd only recently and I’m sorry for all the lost time when I could have been rocking to it. But the gods and goddesses of rock & roll found me praise be.

  1. Music is a top 5 element in my life. I use it like a drug to move my mind & body to be able perform certain creative tasks in drawing & painting. I use jazz rock fusion when I’m creating something that I’ll regard as smart or cerebral. I use speed or thrash metal when I’m emoting something with force or abrupt movement. I’ll use plain old heavy metal when I need to take myself back to draw on previous experiences. I use Philly R&B when I’m working on something bright with elegant lines. I use classical when my wife is in her office next door to mine & she’s calling the shots.
Without music I would be visually mute.
