Your points are appear to be valid and I realize there’s likely some personal context behind this frustration-filled post. Ed policies continue to pile up and system innovation and creativity appear to be stifled before our very eyes.
So interesting — and depressing for those of us educating our children here in the great U S of A. I’m struck by how our educational philosophy (through IDEA) has many, if not all, of the objectives outlined in the Finnish system, but instead of it “working,” we have an incredibly adversarial and inefficient system that is more like a war zone for those involved than anything remotely resembling what it was designed for —
