In the morning I read about heroes
At night it’s all vampires
This leaves noon a bit confused

Ghosts linked together
In unbearable light

**

When I was 8
I thought the guillotine
Was fascinating

An improvement
On the sword of Damocles

**

“Well that’s it,” said Uncle Distress
“Just look at all the yellow flowers!”

Before he was disabled Franklin Roosevelt
Knew how to throw a punch
Later he knew how to shine a light

**

Yes these are random notes
Unless you believe in physics

I love the phrase
“Power in circulation”
I love you
& your circulation

Riding the train to New York, looking at the spoiled factory towns, the haunted river, can I hold with one thought? I think I’m allowed a murmur. There has to be music in human silence.
