Uncle History and Wittgenstein

Uncle History wouldn’t kill a fly
He’s been forced to witness
Murders and huge violence
He walks through smoke
His private views don’t matter
Ay there’s the rub
He thinks of Wittgenstein—
“Death is not an event in life:
We do not live to experience death.”
If this is true
Uncle is already dead
It’s not funny
But it is
