Nine Mile Press’s Propel Disability Poetry Series continues to grow, and I wanted to give it a more visible home on this blog. If you look in the sidebar, you’ll now find “New in Disability Poetry” — a running list of books written by disabled poets, published and edited under the principle of “nothing about us without us.”
Right now that shelf includes Sanni Purhonen’s If Only I’d Turn Into Someone Else, winner of the 2026 Propel Poetry Prize; Kenny Fries’s Returns: Poems Selected and New; Lisa M. Dougherty’s The Dead Tree Garden; Nathan Spoon’s The Importance of Being Feeble-Minded; Anne Kaier’s How Can I Say It Was Not Enough?; Daniel Simpson’s Inside the Invisible; and Tito Mukhopadhyay’s Creating the Faces and Other Poems.
