Brief Treatise on Seeing and Being Seen

planet of the blind

Tangled in a public square, blind man with dog
Alert, stopping anyplace—
Each hour is whole
Every doorway perfect.

Do you see me?
I hear dresses,
Coats flapping,
Cliffs and verdure of lives,
A river, western sky,
The gently loosing bonds
Of your faiths.
Clouds, pages,
No one stops us.
